Privacy

Dawnbreak collects nothing. There is no account to create, no server to talk to, and no analytics of any kind. This page is short because there is very little to describe.

What stays on your phone

Your alarms, the missions attached to them, your preferences and your wake-up history are written to files inside the app's own container on your device. They are never uploaded. If you back your device up to iCloud or to a computer, they are part of that backup, which is between you and Apple.

The camera and the motion sensors

Three missions use the camera: photographing an object, scanning a barcode, and counting squats. Frames are analysed on the device, in memory, while the mission is on screen, and are discarded as they are replaced. Nothing is written to your photo library and nothing is transmitted. Three missions read the motion sensors: to count steps, to detect a shake, and to prove the phone is resting on something while squats are counted. Those readings are used as they arrive and never stored.

Purchases

Dawnbreak Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple takes the payment and tells the app whether a purchase is active. The app never sees your name, your card, or your Apple Account.

Children

The app collects nothing from anyone, at any age, so there is nothing here to treat differently for a child.

Changes

If any of the above stops being true, this page changes in the same release that makes it untrue.
